Mimeographed copy, approximately 440 pages, bound with two brass screws in black leatherette covers, the title lettered in gilt, and labeled “Studio Duplicating Service” with the firm's address. An early, unexpurgated version of his MEMOIRS, with substantial differences between the present draft and the work that was ultimately published in 1975. Some of the changes involve actual names that were changed in the published version as well as entire passages eliminated. Provenance: Tanya Thompson, Tennessee William's typist (with a 2003 signed letter from a previous bookseller laid in attesting to the draft's previous ownership). Near Fine. Item #022632
