Along with the date on the front cover is the statement "Final Draft" as well as "Cinema Center Films" and the number 5041. The title page states "Production Draft." LITTLE BIG MAN, based on the novel by Thomas Berger and directed by Arthur Penn, was released in 1970. A satirical western it follows the exploits of Jack Crabbe (played by Dustin Hoffman) who claims to have lived through pivotal events in American history from a unique perspective as a white man raised by the Cheyenne, encountering along the way historical figures and events, such as General Custer and the Battle of Little Bighorn. Also in the cast was Chief Dan George who received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, the first Indigenous North American actor to be nominated for an Oscar.
