[1982]. Manuscript. Handwritten ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT by Baraka consisting of 4 yellow legal-sized sheets written on rectos only for his short story "Norman's Date." A partial manuscript of this story which first appeared in PLAYBOY in 1982 and later collected in Baraka's 2006 book of short stories TALES OF THE OUT AND THE GONE. Present here are pages numbered 1, 2, 3, and 5. The story takes place in the legendary jazz hotspots The Five Spot and the Cedar Bar and is about a one-night stand that goes wrong. Baraka later dismissed this piece as a potboiler. Right margins ragged. Very Good. Item #022568
