INSCRIBED by the former President as usual in the large blank margin beneath the color frontispiece photograph of Truman at his desk: "My best to Commander and Mrs. Lingo/Harry Truman/White House,/April 26, 1952." Laid in is an index card written on one side in a child's hand: "Dear Mr. President, Please write in this for Mama and Daddy. Thank you. Jane Lingo." Also laid in is a piece of White House stationery with a typed note to have books delivered to Miss Jane Lingo. Light wear to top and bottom edges of the book.
