Oblong quarto (12-1/2" x 10") bound by hand with Japanese decorative handmade papers with the spine bound and laced in Chinese silk. Illustrated with eleven full-page engravings in wood and linoleum by Bob Giorgio. Each word of the poem was calligraphed by the artist then engraved. Only 100 copies were printed. Each is baren printed on Hosho paper hand made in Japan. No printing press was used. The engraved blocks were inked with a hand roller; then, the paper was laid on a block and, using a bamboo spoon called a baren, the back of the paper was rubbed by hand pressing the ink from the block onto the paper. This process was done for each of the 28 pages of each of the 100 copies of the edition. This is Copy #51 SIGNED by both the author and the artist. Prospectus laid in.
